P&L in Profitability

How to read the Profitability P&L page: period columns, Total rules, export and drill to the table

The P&L page shows your Profitability lines across several periods as columns, with a Total column. Open it from the Profitability menu (or Overview Help links). It uses the same lines as an Overview card.

Note

Profitability is in Beta. Preview on Pro; access is guaranteed on Business / Business Plus.

For cards, chart, cost structure and the breakdown table, see Profitability overview in Seller Assistant.

Periods and columns

Use the period button in the P&L header to pick a range, for example Last 6, This month, Last month, Last 6 months, Last 12 months, Year to date, Last year, Last 2 years, or a custom range.

Columns are the weeks, months or quarters that range touches. Click a column header to use that period in the table under the P&L.

Click a line to open its parts, or click Open all.

Total

  • A period with no data is left out of Total. A line under the table says how many periods were left out.

  • If a period has sales but profit is unknown (for example because cost is missing), Total stays unknown. Seller Assistant does not fill that gap with 0.

Export and drill

  • Export on the P&L card downloads the P&L as CSV. Export on the table downloads the table.

  • The table under the P&L groups the picked period by Brands, Suppliers, Products or SKUs, the same way as Overview.

Settings

The gear next to Help opens Profitability settings.

Do it with AI

Connect Seller Assistant MCP in Claude or ChatGPT (Business and higher), then ask:

  • "Show my Profitability P&L for the last 6 months on amazon.com."

On P&L, Works with AI at the top has ready prompts. More prompts: Prompts for Seller Assistant MCP.
